Youth Tennis Programs (Spring 2024)

The Southington Recreation Department is offering beginner and intermediate level tennis programs for Southington resident youth. All participants must bring their own tennis racket and water bottle to each class.

Both programs will take place at the Recreation Park tennis courts, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville. The Head Coach is Nicole Marziarz.

There will be no classes during the week of spring break for Southington schools (April 9).

Beginner Lessons: Ages 4-10

Introductory program for students with little to no prior tennis experience; basic skills and court positions will be taught.

  • $60.00 per child for the full 6-class session
  • Tuesdays: April 2, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14
  • 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM

Intro to Match Play: Ages 8-14

Intermediate level program for students interested in learning more advanced shots. Serving and proper score keeping will also be taught.

  • $60.00 per child for the full 6-class session
  • Tuesdays: April 2, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14
  • 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Registration Information

Both programs are FULL (as of 3/4/24). Use the link below if you wish to be added to the wait list.

  • Registration forms will be accepted online, by mail, or in person at the Recreation Department office, 388 Pleasant Street, Southington (inside the Calendar House Senior Center).
  • Space is extremely limited. It is strongly recommended to utilize the online registration form which will instantly reserve your child's space in the program. You do NOT need to pay by credit card in order to use the online form.
  • Forms and payments are due in the Recreation Department by 4:30 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024.
