**PROGRAMS IN PROGRESS - REGISTRATION CLOSED**

The Southington Recreation Department is offering beginner, intermediate, and advanced level tennis programs for Southington residents, ages 4-14 (age restrictions vary by program). All participants must bring their own tennis racket and water bottle to each class.

Programs will take place at the Southington High School tennis courts, 720 Pleasant Street, Southington. The Head Coach is Nicole Marziarz.

Beginner Lessons: Ages 4-7

Introductory program for students with little to no prior tennis experience; basic skills and court positions will be taught.

• $60.00 per child for the full 6-class session
• Option #1: Tuesdays, 6:15-7:15 PM: June 20, 27; July 18, 25; August 1, 8
• Option #2: Wednesdays, 9:15-10:15 AM: June 21, 28; July 12, 19, 26; August 2

Beginner Lessons: Ages 8-14

Intro to Match Play: Ages 8-14

Intermediate level program for students interested in learning more advanced shots. Serving and proper score keeping will also be taught.

• $60.00 per child for the full 6-class session
• Thursdays: June 22, 29; July 13, 20, 27; August 3
• 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Match Play: Ages 8-14

Advanced level program for students who want to gain experience playing matches against their peers. In order to be eligible for this program, students must already know how to properly keep score. Staff will set up the matches and assist if questions/issues arise.

• $30.00 per child for the full 6-class session
• Wednesdays: June 21, 28; July 12, 19, 26; August 2
• 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Registration Information

• Registration forms will be accepted online, by mail, or in person at the Recreation Department office, 388 Pleasant Street, Southington (inside the Calendar House Senior Center).
• Space is limited. It is strongly recommended to utilize the online registration form which will instantly reserve your child's space in the program. You do NOT need to pay by credit card in order to use the online form.
• Forms and payments are due in the Recreation Department by 4:30 pm on Friday, June 16, 2023.
