ENTRY LEVEL FIREFIGHTER TESTING

The position of Firefighter is a tested position and the Town of Southington tests approximately every two years. The testing process involves a physical ability test (CPAT), written examination, and oral examination. Once an applicant has successfully completed these phases, his/her name is placed on an eligibility list for future openings.

The department is currently compiling an eligibility list from applications received by the Friday, February 9, 2007, 1:00 PM deadline.

NEXT TESTING PROCESS:  The Southington Fire Department is not expecting to test again until the spring of 2009.
