| State Park Passes 
Season Pass for State Parks For the frequent park visitor, Connecticut offers a special season pass at a nominal fee. The pass allows unlimited vehicles with the window sticker to access any state park or recreation area that has a parking fee for no extra charge. Season passes are NOT valid for admission to Dinosaur or Fort Trumbull State Park Exhibit Centers or tours of Gillette Castle, camping or special events with charges. Season passes cost $40.00 for Connecticut residents and $60.00 for Out-of-State residents. They can be purchased at the DEP Store, by mail or in person. Passes are non-transferable. Click Here For More Information ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Charter Oak Pass (Life Use) The Charter Oak Pass provides access to the State Parks and Forests and is available free to Connecticut residents, 65 years of age or older. The pass is accepted at all day use areas where a parking fee applies. Presenting it allows free access for the entering vehicle and passengers. The pass holder does not have to be the vehicle driver. Passes are non-transferable. A Charter Oak Pass may be obtained by mail or in person. Proof of age and residency is required. Click Here For More Information ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Heritage Passport The Heritage Passport allows the bearer to gain admittance to three facilities (Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull and Gillette Castle State Parks) for a one time visitation until Columbus Day of the calendar year in which it was purchased. Children ages 6-17 are $5.00, adults 18 years and older are $12.00, and children under age 6 are free. The Heritage Passport can be purchased at any one of the three facilities.
