On July 9, 2012 The Town Council passed the following Resolution
Approving a Bond Ordinance and Establishing a Referendum Date of November 6, 2012
The Refereundum question on the ballot reads as follows:
“Shall the Town of Southington appropriate $11,000,000 for design and construction of various roads and bridge improvements,
and authorize the issue of bonds and notes not to exceed $11,000,000 to finance the Appropriation?”
Below are the lists of roads that will be repaired should the referendum be successful.
Road restoration accounts for approximately $1 million; the road reconstruction approximately $9 million and the repair of the West Queen St bridge the remaining $1 million.
