Southington Youth Summer Theater

Summer 2018

The Southington Youth Summer Theater program is open to students who will be entering grades 3-12 in the fall of 2018; Southington residents only.  The Junior/Worklights group is an introductory program in which students learn the basics of performance: acting, singing and dancing.  The Footlights and Spotlights groups audition, rehearse and perform a full-length musical.

*A $20 discount will be given for each additional sibling registered for the Footlights or Spotlights program.

Registration Information

GRADES 3-5 (Junior & Worklights)

  • In person registration ONLY on Saturday, March 24 from 9:30-11:00 am in the Derynoski Elementary School cafeteria (240 Main St.).

  • Parents must bring a copy of the student's most recent report card to verify grade and residency.

  • Payment is due upon registration (cash, check, or money order). If paying by cash, please bring exact change. Check or money order should be made payable to "Town of Southington."

GRADES 7-12 (Footlights & Spotlights)

  • Online registration ONLY; opens on Tuesday, March 27 at 6:00 pm; closes on Thursday, March 29 at 6:00 pm (or earlier if all spaces have been filled).

  • Payment is due by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, May 1, either by mail or in person at the Recreation Department office in Town Hall. Check or money order should be made payable to "Town of Southington." Credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) are also accepted online and in person; however, an additional, non-refundable 3% service fee applies to all credit card transactions.
