Due to the covid19 pandemic, governor Ned Lamont has issued executive order 9r pertaining to tax payments. All tax payments originally due January 1, 2021 must be paid no later than April 1, 2021 in order to avoid interest. Beginning April 2, 2021, interest will be calculated back to the original due date of January 1 at a rate of 1.5% per month. Therefore, the initial amount of interest due beginning April 2 will be 6%. Interest will not be waived for any reason. Please visit the tax office page for additional information.
