The department would like to thank FF Christopher Fusco for designing a trail marking program to help first responders locate injured hikers. FF Fusco’s program has proven its effectiveness during multiple emergency incidents. The program has also gained national attention.

LT Fusco, along with the help of LT Ryan Pulver, have installed the marking system at Crescent Lake Trails. They plan to install a similar marking system at Camp Sloper in the near future. FF Fusco has also worked with the Ragged Mountain Foundation, which is privately owned property, to revise their current marking system to include the department’s information.
