CT DEEP Fishing Field Trip

Come Fish with DEEP CARE!

The DEEP Fisheries Division - Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education (CARE) program is here to help you get fishing by offering Introduction to Fishing ZOOM classes and fishing field trips!

FIRST:
If you have no prior fishing experience, register for an Introduction to Fishing ZOOM class to learn all the basics of fishing in an interactive virtual format. Classes are offered weekly and from the comfort of your couch!

SECOND:
Join CARE at Crescent Lake (GPS: 495 Shuttle Meadow Road, Southington) on June 18, 2021 anytime between 4:00-8:00 pm for a free Fishing Field Trip. CARE fishing instructors will be on hand with loaner equipment, bait, and instruction to help you have a positive and successful fishing experience!

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, and space is limited to the first 35 people.

Requirements

  • Fishing field trips are designed for adults ages 16 and up, as well as families with children 8 years old and above.
  • Participants ages 16 and up must have a valid CT fishing license.
  • Participants ages 15 and below must obtain a free Conservation Identification Number (CID) before registering for a fishing field trip by getting a YOUth Fishing Passport or creating an account in the Online Licensing System.
  • Fishing field trip participants under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian present for the entirety of the event.
