Ice Fishing (Winter 2020-21)
The State of Connecticut DEEP Fisheries Division CARE (CT Aquatic Resources Education) program is offering virtual Learn to Ice Fish classes via ZOOM. Upon completion of the class, participants will be invited to register for an instructor-led ice fishing trip (pending safe ice). Ice fishing trips are limited to the first 20 people who register; trip dates and locations will vary.
Those wishing to register for an ice fishing trip at Crescent Lake will need to attend & complete one of the ZOOM classes scheduled between December 21-January 20.
Topics to be covered during the class include: safety on the ice, how to dress for the cold, where to go, ice fishing equipment, baits, techniques, and tactics. Experts will be available to answer questions.
Participants only need to attend ONE virtual class; all topics will be covered during each of the available class dates.

- Registration is FREE and open to all ages (minors should be accompanied by an adult).
