**PROGRAM IN PROGRESS - REGISTRATION CLOSED**

The Southington Recreation Department's swim lessons are open to Southington resident children only, ages 5 years and up. All lessons will take place at the Memorial Park pool located on Woodruff Street. (Recreation Park pool is closed for renovations.)

Registration for Session One will take place ONLINE ONLY. The following classes will be available at both Recreation Park and Memorial Park pools during this session:

• Beginner (Level II):  Children will be taught to be more comfortable and independent in the water. They will learn to float and kick.
• Advanced Beginner (Level III):  Children should be able to swim on their own, above water, for at least 5-10 feet to be in this class.
• Intermediate (Level IV):  Children will learn how to perform strokes properly; diving into pool.
• Swimmer (Level V):  Strokes are refined; laps are swum.
• Advanced Swimmer (Level VI):  Children should be able to swim laps for greater distances.

Class Schedules

WEEKDAY CLASSES - ALL SKILL LEVELS

• Session One classes will run from June 19-July 7
• All classes will take place between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
• Beginner (Level II) classes will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays for 30 minutes each day.
• Advanced Beginner (Level III) classes will take place on either Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays for 30 minutes each day OR on Tuesdays & Thursdays for 45 minutes each day.
• Intermediate, Swimmer, and Advanced Swimmer (Levels IV, V & VI) classes will take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays for 45 minutes each day.

SATURDAY CLASSES - BEGINNER (LEVEL II) ONLY

• Classes will run on Saturdays only for 9 weeks, June 17-August 12.
• All classes will take place between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

All registered families will be contacted by the Aquatics Director, Chris Palmieri, prior to the start of the session to be sure that children are registered for the appropriate class level and to confirm the scheduled class dates/times.

• $65.00 per child
• Family Rates:  $150 for 3 children or $170 for 4 children within the same household
• Cash (exact change only), check, or money order are accepted by mail or in person at the Recreation Department, 388 Pleasant Street, Southington, CT 06489
• Make check/money order payable to: Town of Southington
• Credit card payments are also accepted online or in person; however, an additional, non-refundable 3% service fee applies.
• Payment is due in the Recreation Department prior to the first class date. Money cannot be accepted at the pool.
