Southington Youth Services offers individual counseling services to youth ages 8-18 who may be experiencing problems at home, in school or in the community. The agency requires a parent conference prior to a counselor meeting with the child to make sure our services are appropriate to the needs of the child. By CT state statute, youth ages 14 and older can seek counseling services on their own.

This is a group counseling format for students to come together to create connections with one another.  Groups will be facilitated by the counseling staff at Youth Services but will be guided by the students that participate.  The students will decide what they want to get out of the group , with some guidance from the counseling staff.  If you know a student that would could benefit from building a connection or is interested in meetings someone new, contact youth services and we will help you get started.  The group will meet at the Municipal Center and will run for six weeks with the option of returning after the initial six weeks is over.  The group is limited to six students at a time and meets weekly beginning the week of  September 14, 2020.
