Road Projects

Public Notice to All Residents of Southington Regarding Road Construction in 2022

Road projects scheduled for the 2022 construction season are provided in the link below.  Projects are subject to change based on budgeting. Pavement conditions (alphabetical list & map) as determined by StreetScan in the fall of 2019 are also provided.

*Tentative list may change with new road rating study to be conducted in Fall 2022

LEAF Collection

Please view the "Leaf Collection" tab on the related pages section on the left for more information regarding the schedule and zones.

As of Friday, December 2nd, the first and second collections in Zone 1 have been completed.  Zone 2 has also been completed along with a second pass.  Depending on the weather, Town crews will attempt a second collection in Zone 3 and possibly Zone 4 next week.

Bulky Waste Transfer Station

The transfer station facility is located at 617 Old Turnpike Rd. The entrance is located between 611 (Petroleum Services) and 635 Old Turnpike Rd. (Mariani Construction LLC). There are signs posted at the entrance. The hours of operation are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Saturdays only.

Notice:  A valid Transfer Station Permit is required to use the facility. Information regarding permits can be found by selecting Transfer Station to the left under Related Pages. First-time permits, renewals, and one-day passes may be obtained through the mail. Please follow the instructions on the Transfer Station page and on the individual forms.

Southington Park Properties

Tennis and pickleball ONLY are allowed on the tennis courts at all Town parks. Rollerblading, skateboarding, street hockey, etc. are prohibited.
